Good evening from Hellsaroarin . One thing , no matter the time of year , you never know what you may encounter in our yard . “ Flathorn “ mean old bull buffalo . We had lots of fun with him . Skinny old cow buffalo that decided to live with the horses . She made it and had a calf on decker flats .’ At one time we counted 88 bull elk coming in to eat hay . I found almost every horn . Recently I read an article how the Fish and Game never saw the elk this poor . The winter of 1988/89 me and my guide got 150 winter killed bulls within hollering distance of the house . That was rough ! So I’ve never begrudge them a bite of hay . It’s not easy living this remote . You need to plan for things and you sure know it when you don’t . But the rewards are there . Respectfully Warren
